Update from Ellie's First Surgery

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update to say thank you so much for your prayers!! Ellie's surgery went well and finished right on time earlier today. She is intubated and still fairly sedated, but she's beginning to wake up a bit and has been resting well with the most adorable little tongue quiver while she sleeps!

They are thinking they might extubate her tomorrow morning, and she is scheduled for a dye xray test next Monday to check and see how things are functioning now that her gut has been repaired. You can be praying that she manages through this week well as she was a bit fussier overnight and this morning now that she is beginning to recognize that she is hungry (she is just on a nutrient drip through her IV for now). We are hopeful she can get started on breastmilk through her stomach tube next week!

Thanks everyone for your messages and prayers for us and for Eleanor. We have had a good day and definitely felt God's peace with us while we waited this morning.

Love to you all,

Katelynn, David, and Ellie
